Dairy Equipment
Dairy Pre-Coolers:
- Heat exchangers should have a filter to avoid rapid clogging of the pre-cooler.
- The number of cows currently providing milk processed by this equipment shall define the number of cows used to calculate the incentive.
Refrigerant Heat Reclaimers:
- Facility must only use electric water heaters to be eligible for compressor refrigerant heat reclaimer incentives.
- The number of cows currently providing milk processed by this equipment shall define the number of cows used to calculate the incentive.
Scroll Compressors: Must replace an existing reciprocating compressor for milk cooling system.
Variable Speed Vacuum Pumps:
- Rebate is based on the controlled horsepower output of pump at rated full load.
- Must meet applicable IEEE standards for harmonics control. The ASD must have either an input line reactor or isolation transformer.
- It is recommended that a 3% impedance reactor, based on the horsepower rating of the ASD, be installed.
