One of our 7 Cooperative Principles is Concern for Community. Our cooperative employees are devoted to giving back to the communities that we serve and volunteer their time in many different ways.
In 2021, T.I.P. REC employees volunteered 1012 hours. Our cooperative participates in a volunteer hours program sponsored by our power supplier, Central Iowa Power Cooperative, and this year we donated approximately 594.5 hours with those donations being divided between the Poweshiek AED Fund and Keokuk County Hospice Foundation.
- The Poweshiek AED Fund money goes to the Poweshiek County Sheriffs Dept. to purchase AED's for their vehicles and to pay for additional AED supplies.
- The Keokuk County Hospice Foundation provides hospice services to Keokuk County.
Supporting our communities is another priority at T.I.P. REC.
